A generalized Reynolds equation for micropolar flows past a ribbed surface with nonzero boundary conditions

Inspired by the lubrication framework, in this paper we consider a micropolar fluid flow through rough thin domain, whose thickness is considered as small parameter ε while roughness at bottom defined periodical function with period of order ℓ and amplitude δ , δ> >1. Assuming nonzero boundary conditions on means version unfolding method, identify critical case = 3/2 − 1/2 obtain three macroscopic models coupling effects conditions. In every provide corresponding Reynolds equation. We apply these results to carry out numerical study model squeeze-film bearing lubricated fluid. Our simulations reveal impact coupled performance bearing, suggest that introduction geometry may contribute enhancing mechanical properties device.
